Flying.

Wow - last post was April and here we are already chewing our way through another wet & windy - at least here in the UK - June. I honestly think the summers I recall from my childhood are never to be repeated, relegated to mere memory status.

All I'll say on the matter is this, then I'll move on: this is not natural weather.

So, what has my time away from the blog been occupied with? Well, not a vast amount, in all fairness.

I succumbed to a cough/cold that's been flying around after attending a funeral. Not a happy bunny, as the cough aspect still plagues me almost four weeks later. Apparently it's been dubbed 'the 90 day cough', as that seems to be the general duration of it.

Writing has been akin to a dropping tap, and not a flood, I'm sad to say. Shit happens. I have, however, along with half of YouTube (so it would seem), stumbled across a great singer going by the name of 'Maphra' - I'll leave you with her latest offering at the end. A real belter of a voice, and not your run-of-the-mill singer, either. Like many others, I'm seriously keen for her to release an album.

As my current relaxing distraction, I'm re-watching a great sci-fi series on Amazon Prime, 'The Expanse' - if you haven't seen it yet, I highly recommend it. Season 7 is in the offing. So chuffed.

So that's me done for my mini round-up. I hope you're enjoying life and all is well in your part of the world.

As promised, I leave you with Maphra and her cover version of 'Unethical' by Faouzia. Enjoy.
